I feel like this issue is probably deeper than just Sims 4, but after googling and trying a bunch of things I decided it would be a good idea to post here in case any of you guys have experienced it too. Yesterday I ran it in windowed mode and it worked for more than an hour but then the issue happened again. I don't think that's relevant but you never know.) The one other game I've experienced this with is Dragon Age II (which I play through Origin too. I'm kind of worried that I might have burned my laptop out though. I've been playing it since release on this laptop, I could play it on high graphic settings with very few issues, so it's not that my laptop can't run it. I used to have no issues at all running The Sims 4. So, after playing for less than an hour, my computer screen turns off (I use an external monitor, both that and the laptop screen switch off) and while the laptop is still running, there is no sound, no image on screen etc so I have to hold down the power button to turn it off or it just does nothing (except make a lot of. (I also play The Sims 2 and I don't have this issue with that game)
This problem isn't exclusive to The Sims 4, but Sims 4 is the game I play most so I'm hoping some of you guys might have experienced it and know what the issue might be. So my issue is a bit more than the title but I'm terrible at wording things lol
